Docker is a state-of-the-art technology which creates, deploys, and runs applications by using containers. Packages are provided containing an application with all components it requires, such as libraries, specific configurations, and other dependencies, and deploy it in no time on any other Linux or Windows workstation, regardless of any different settings between the source and the target workstation.

With just a few, simple commands you can install one or more of the out-of-the-box packages provided. For IBM Workload Automation, the provided packages are as follows:

• IBM Workload Automation Server, containing the master domain manager and backup master domain manager images
• IBM Workload Automation Console, containing the Dynamic Workload Console image
• IBM Workload Automation Agent, containing the dynamic agent image
